She acted with the Bristol Old Vic School at the Theatre Royal in Bristol, England with Peter Wyngarde, Donald Pickering, Peter Wilson, Robin Phillips, Patrick Stewart OBE, Norman Tyrrell, David Perry, David King, John Woodvine, Daniel Moynihan, Susan Engel, and Peter Jeffrey in the cast. John Hale was director. Patrick Robertson and Rosemary Vercoe were the designers.

Appeared on stage in a 1959 production of 'Cyrano de Bergerac' at the Old Vic, with Peter Wyngarde (of Jason King fame) and Patrick Stewart, as fellow cast members. In addition to her many TV appearances, she also did radio work, notably in Jane Austin's 'Emma' for BBC in 1989.
