The true story was based on Joseph Pistone (Depp), an undercover FBI agent who infiltrated the Bonanno family crime organization in the 1970s using the alias Donnie Brasco.

Before P Diddy’s arrest in September, jailed Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight claimed that the Last Night singer was an FBI informant.
