Member of the Italian Parliament from 1996 to 2001 and from 2006 to 2013.

He studied in Turin graduating at a very young age in law. But his passion for journalism soon exploded irresistibly, and led him to practice every medium from print, to the radio and to TV.

In 2001 he was appointed director of the reborn L'Unità.
