One of three actors to play a supporting character on Doctor Who (2005) then go on to play The Doctor. He played Solomon in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship (2012) then played William Hartnell, the First Doctor in An Adventure in Space and Time (2013). The other two were Colin Baker in "Arc of Infinity" then the Sixth Doctor and Peter Capaldi in The Fires of Pompeii (2008) and then the Twelfth Doctor.

He supports Aston Villa Football Club, before home games he can be seen on the big screen talking up the famous midlands club (SOTC).

Often plays cranky old men.

He was nominated for the 2009 Olivier award for Best Actor in a Play for his performance in Harold Pinter's "No Man's Land".

William Russell was played by Jamie Glover, whose father Julian Glover was the voice of Aragog. Russell's son, Alfred Enoch appeared in all the Potter films as Dean Thomas. Cast member Harry Melling is the grandson of the second Doctor, Patrick Troughton. Bill Nighy appeared on an episode, and subsequent doctors John Hurt and David Tennant also appear.

Bradley and his wife Rosanna have three children. His eldest son, George, is an architect, who has featured on the ITV series 'Love Your Home and Garden', alongside Alan Titchmarsh. His daughter, Francesca, works in casting, having worked on Michael Bay's '6 Underground'.
