Wrote an introduction that appears in most contemporary editions of The
Lord of the Rings, and also wrote the screenplay for Ralph Bakshi's film
adaptation. The animated adaptation of The Last Unicorn featured two
actors from other productions of The Lord of the Rings: Theodore Gottlieb voiced
Gollum in "Return of the King, The (1980)(TV)_, and Christopher Lee
appeared in Peter Jackson's films.
