Four years ago, the ocean's largest predator - or Meg to her friends - breaches the Mariana Trench, and eats everything in her way, until Meg is finally taken down by a school of sharks. But surprise! More prehistoric pals have suddenly surfaced. English indie filmmaker Ben Wheatley ('Kill List,' 'Free Fire') sinks his teeth into this shark-filled sequel. 'Meg 2: The Trench' swims into theaters in August 2023.
