(1998-present/2016) He plays in a band called Thirty Seconds to Mars along with his brother, Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic, and formerly featured Matt Wachter, and Solon Bixler from time to time. They originally signed to Immortal Records, an independent label (distributed by Virgin Records) for the first two albums. Their debut album, "30 Seconds to Mars," recorded during 2001 and 2002, was originally due to be released in March 2002, but was not actually released until August 27, 2002.
Leto moved to Haiti when he was just 12 years old because his mother, Constance, was working with a medical charity. After the 2010 earthquake, he traveled back to Haiti to aid and assist the people. He also published a book filled with photos and experiences from his trip and donated all of the profits to Haitian charities.
