His infamous roles as the dregs of society and sociopaths (Yi boh lai beng duk (1996) (Ebola Syndrome); Bat sin fan dim: Yan yuk cha siu bau (1993) (The Untold Story) ), trace their insights and sensibilities to a childhood of bullying because of his biracial appearance. Much of the frustration and pent-up emotions are intimately documented on his albums (1995, 2002.)

Had his own indie rock band during 1995-2002. His mostly self-composed debut album provided an intimate look at the madness and iconoclasm of the actor renowned for unforgettably chilling psychos, complex authority figures, etc.
