He made guest appearances on both The Twilight Zone (1959) and The Twilight Zone (1985).

He was a close friend of Gregory Peck and Kenneth Tobey.

Enrolled at the United States Naval Academy in 1937 as a Midshipman. Sometime between 1939 and 1940, he left the Academy due to temporary vision problems, but later, during World War II, flew as pilot in the Army Air Corps in Europe.

In his youth, he was frequently mistaken for and misidentified as Laurence Harvey, given their strong resemblance to each other.

Attended the 2007 Twilight Zone Convention at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights, Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, August 4-5, 2007.

In 2008, he was honored at the 44th. Cinecon Film Festival. He received their Society for Cinephiles Career Achievement Award at a banquet held at the Hollywood and Highland Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, California. Actress Doris Roberts presented him with his award. Earlier in the day, Warren attended a screening at the Egyptian Theater of The Case Against Brooklyn, followed by an interview in which he talked of his entire life both on and off the screen.

He was a lifelong Democrat.

Upon his death, his cremains were taken to his native Pennsylvania and scattered in Clarks Summit in the neighborhood he grew up.
