Sultry brunette silent screen leading lady, born Elva McDowell. She was discovered for films by D.W. Griffith who cast her as an extra in Intolerance: Love's Struggle Throughout the Ages (1916). After the end of her acting career, she worked as a retoucher in the photography department of a Hollywood studio.
