Carrie Snodgress(1945-2004)

Carrie's son Zeke Young by rocker Neil Young was born with cerebral palsy. She and Young separated in 1975 after four years. Young married in 1977 and the next year had a second son, Ben Young, who also had cerebral palsy. Carrie later sued Young for child support in 1983. Young was ordered to pay Carrie $10,000 a month and up to $300,000 on a home for mother and child.

I was never really a career woman. My life always came first. When I got [Oscar] nominated for Diary of a Mad Housewife (1970), I didn't think, "Aah, now I'll get more money." My dream had always just been to do my work well, fall in love and build a life for myself.
