She acted in Ronald Millar's play, "A Coat of Varnish," at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in London, England with Peter Barkworth, John Barron, and directed by Sir Anthony Quayle CBE.
She narrowly avoided the sinking of S.S. Athena, which was torpedoed on the day Britain declared war on Germany. Her name was taken off the passenger list at the last minute.
