Cool, self-possessed leading lady of the pre-war German cinema, trained under the renowned actress Julia Serda. First appeared on stage in 1934. In films, often seen in worldly or capricious roles. Made a comeback in the 1960's as a villainess in several Edgar Wallace adaptations.

She continued her career successfully in the 40's and took part in well-known movies like "Quax, der Bruchpilot" (1941), "Die Feuerzangenbowle" (1943), "Paracelsus" (1943) and "Orient-Express" (1944).

She died in 2003 at the age of 87 after breaking her femoral neck in a Berlin hospital.

The actress Hilde Sessak began her long-standing film career in the middle of the 30's and conquered the big screen with her exotic charisma.

After the war she impersonated normally support roles to which she gave depth with her acting ability.
