Deadpan, attractive-looking 70s and 80s support actress who played for laughs with prominent roles in the sitcom Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman (1976) and a few of the "Police Academy" slapstick movies.

The mother of her fiance, police officer John Dennis Levi, said Scott developed a drinking disorder shortly after he died during the 9/11 atrocities. She said, "Debralee has cirrhosis of the liver from her drinking." The actress' sister Jerri Scott added, "She never did get over Dennis' death.".

Auditioned for the role of Marty in ग्रीस (1978). It was narrowed down to Debralee Scott and Dinah Manoff. Although Scott was better known at the time (and closer to the age of others already cast), Manoff got the part.

While filming the discovery of Ann Mary Deacon's body at dawn in डर्टी हैरी (1971), the crew tried to film close-up shots, but Scott - naked during filming - was shivering uncontrollably because she was so cold. After several failed takes, Scott's scene was filmed as one long continuous shot, where her character is lifted out of a drainage pipe and put onto a stretcher.
