Son of Daryl Roth and Steven Roth of New York City; Son-in-law of Carol Jackson and Paul Jackson. Became a stepfather, upon marrying Richie Jackson, of Jackson Foo Wong (from Richie's longtime former partner, BD Wong).

He is the majority owner and President of Jujamcyn Theaters in Manhattan, New York City, New York, where he has produced "A Catered Affair," "American Idiot," "Spring Awakening," and "The Book of Mormon". His minority partner is Rocco Landesman.

His Jujamcyn Theaters Company presently (as of July 2014) owns five Broadway theaters, including the St. James Theatre, Al Hirschfeld Theatre, August Wilson Theatre, Eugene O'Neill Theatre, and Walter Kerr Theatre, making Juhamcyn the third largest theater owning entity on Broadway, after the Shubert Organization and the Nederlander Organization.

Member of the board of trustees of the Horace Mann School, of which he is an alumnus.

On September 8, 2012, he and Richie Jackson held their wedding at Al Hirschfeld Theater (one of the theaters owned by his company, Jujamsyn Theaters) on Broadway in New York City. Wedding guests included BD Wong, Donald Trump, Barbara Walters, Tyra Banks, Bryant Gumbel, Lloyd Blankfein, David Geffen, Leslie Moonves, Julie Chen Moonves, Christine Quinn and her wife, Kim Cutullo, Edie Falco, Harvey Fierstein, Bobby Cannavale, and Melissa Etheridge, and Richie Jackson's son Jackson Foo Wong (now also stepson of Jordan Roth). Melissa Etheridge wrote a song for the occasion, as a gift to the newly married couple.
