First performance on Alléscenen (1963) as member of "Collagetruppen"

Father was a priest in Holme (Aarhus), Denmark. Has two sons: Mikkel (born 1972), Christian (born 1974).

Went to public school with Ole Michelsen, where they became good friends, and still are to this day. Both appeared in the Danish talk-show "Go'Morgen Danmark" on the 25th of October, 2006 to promote their new shared autobiography "Barndomsvenner".

Ulf Pilgaard was a Danish actor, and a prominent figure in Cirkusrevyen (= biggest revue in Denmark), where he performed for 28 years.

For his role in ''Farligt venskab'', he won both the Bodil Award and Robert Award for Best Leading Actor.
