Older brother of Rokurô Naya.

Voiced Sam the Eagle in the Japanese dub of 'The Muppet Show', alongside Yasuo Yamada as Kermit the Frog.

He was hospitalized for a gastric ulcer in March 1985 during the broadcast of "Lupin III: Part III" and underwent surgery to remove half of the gastrointestinal tract.
