He acted in Harold Dearden's play, "Two White Arms," at the Lewisham Hippodrome in Lewisham, London, England with Sydney Fairbrother, Marda Vanne, Julian Andrews, and Nigel Bruce in the cast. Leon M. Lion was director.
Popular British matinée idol and writer. Educated at Reading School, he trained under Rosina Filippi and acted on stage from 1908. In films from 1913, he appeared as a romantic lead during the silent era, moving on to character roles by the 1930's.
