When she was a young girl, she told her aunt she wanted to be 'inside the TV'.

She has appeared in three separate series created by Donald P. Bellisario: JAG (1995), Naval criminal invesgation service (2003), and NCIS: New Orleans (2014).

In JAG (1995), her character, P.O. Jennifer Coates, appeared for the first time on December 11th in 2001 and was recurring during seasons 7, 8 and 9. For the 10th and also last season, she was promoted to the main cast. Her last appearance was in April 2005, when the show ended.

Has a son, Sebastian Gillain (b. 2013).

Name rhymes with "Joe," not "Joey".
