He had a #1 US Pop hit, "Lookin' For Love (In All The Wrong Places)", which he sang in the film, Urban Cowboy (1980). Coincidentally, that song title is also a predominate line that appears in the chorus of The Grass Roots' 1971 US Pop hit, "Sooner Or Later".
