Original Village People Cowboy Randy Jones appears standing in a life size photo billboard of the Village People's 1980 album "Live and Sleazy" cover in the final scene of "54" (1998) behind Ryan Phillippe and Neve Campbell.

After attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he attended the prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts where Tom Hulce, Mary Louise Parker, Jada Pinkett Smith, Gary Beach and Diedrich Bader also studied.

On September 12, 2008, American Music Award winner Randy Jones, as the original Cowboy in the recording group Village People was honored along with the original recording group Village People, by the installation of a Star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
