Stefan Zweig adapted. Ruth Langner was translator. Daniel M. Petrie was director. Clarke Dunham was lighting designer. Joseph F. Bella was costume designer. William Ross was artistic director. Was very active in the civil rights movement. With Godfrey Cambridge, co-founded and headed the Committee for the Employment of Negro Performers in 1962.
