Several Italian families fight for honor and respect.

In the 1970s, Angela (Manuela Arcuri) flees from the Neapolitan base, wanting to leave ugly memories behind and rebuild her life in Rome. But someone cannot forget her: Carmine (Brando Giorgi), an unscrupulous young boss, and also John (Giovanni Scifoni), a thirsty commissioner of justice. When Angela returns to Naples with her husband Gabriele (Sergio Muniz), she struggles for the survival of her family. Carmine, defying the power of boss Conticello (Giancarlo Giannini) and Nina's love (Elena Russo), will stop at nothing to have Angela at her side.

Silvia Soriani, widow of a merchant associated with the Camorra, is arrested by the police. The commissioner and the judge Puglisi Corelli accuse her of collaborating with the mobster Franco Maresco. In jail meet three women, Anna, Giulia and Elvira, who have been victims of Maresco. From this moment the four women join forces to find and kill the brawler.

On a rainy day, Alice is tied and gagged into a country house, and through a series of flashbacks she traces the events that dragged her into this situation. Alice, Dora and Sofia are three very different women, friends since school, and all three are now close to the fateful forties of forty years. Everyone tries to find their own way, while their lives are inexorably marked by male figures who go and go. Sofia, however, after escaping from her father's overpriced parental authority, is confronted with an even more cumbersome and overbearing husband who forces her to make an oval calendar to foster her business. The soft comedy, however, is yellow when the village of Puglia where the story unfolds is shocked by a murder.

Francesco (Gabriel Garko), after ten years, returns to the town that has seen her grow and everything is like then, only he really has changed. He became Fr. Francesco. By taking the vows she has tried to erase the juveniles burned in wrong choices, bald attitudes, dangerous friendships, but life sometimes closes the accounts left open. A terrible fact brings the young priest to the places of his tough youth. Frustrated with the pain, Fr. Francis agrees to replace the pastor Father Raul (Gerardo Amato), his spiritual father, barbarously killed in the church. A few days before being assassinated Father Raul had sent a letter to the Bishop asking for urgency to be dissolved from the vows. A sudden and completely abnormal decision, for this reason Francesco is involved in the investigation that will be followed by the murder .

A monaco transcribes seven deadly sins through the intercession of the divine voice which predicts that sins will remain for thousands of years. Subsequently, the monaco introduces each episode concerning a given defect, contextualized for the years 2000.

Anna comes back from summer holidays with her sons Sara and Michelino, but a bad news welcomes her in the city: her husband, Armando, died in a car crash. The poor woman finds herself covered with debts left by her husband and with two children to be kept. Armando, to open a hairdresser shop for man, had asked for a loan to his cousin Cirino, avid and petty person.

A man finds love where less he waits for him. In the pain of a woman who has had a difficult life. Bobo secretly assists Vicky's wedding. The boy does not have the peace to lose the woman, but soon he finds consolation in Elfride's arms.

The story opens with Mom Catherine (Virna Lisi) and her three daughters, twenty years after her husband's abandonment, Enzo Parisi. Caterina makes the postman at Anfri, a small town in Marche, and her girls live in Rome.

Caterina reaches Agostina in the house at Prati. Ettore starts divorce practices from Agostina, while Carlotta realizes her first photo shoot. Rebecca tries to figure out who his father's lover is and finds Carlotta is, who will try suicide.

Ettore comes to the hospital to see Carlotta, but is dismissed by Caterina. Agostina forgives her sister as soon as she wakes up. Adele leaves the job and decides to keep the baby. Caterina waits for the return of her husband to whom he wrote a letter meter Carlotta was in the hospital. There are some backdrops on this mysterious figure.

Enzo Parisi has recently died and the news is given by his son, who was from the London companion. The boy gives Caterina a manuscript called "Caterina and her daughters". He also tries to approach and know the family that his father had left behind. Caterina and Attilio, thanks to the help of their daughters, reconcile and leave for a trip.

During the wedding of Caterina and Attilio, Renata comes to church with her son Michele saying that she has been abandoned by her husband. Adele leaves her little daughter by the two newlyweds who are increasingly fond of the little girl. Agostina is looking for a job. Carlotta gets the part for a theatrical show. Caterina and Attilio's honeymoon will be postponed for a problem with Agostina.

Caterina renounces her honeymoon to attempt to reconcile Agostina and Hector. Along with Attilio he headed to the hospital where he was hospitalized Renata who had an accident. Michele, after a quarrel with the latter, puts the fire in the school. Caterina and Attilio finally enjoy a night in the hotel suite but tiredness is a bad joke for the couple. Will they be able to go for the many times delayed honeymoon?

Once again the honeymoon is postponed and Caterina recovers the son of Agostina. Carlotta falls in love with Peter, a mysterious painter. Rebecca, having said no more about separation, is surprised in bed with Geremia, Cetty's son, who had met at an event organized by her mother. Enrichetto separates from boyfriend Pablo, who returns to Spain. Caterina, after returning from Rome, rejoins with Attilio.

* Liliana talks to her friend Caterina. Meanwhile, Eleonora realizes she is submerged by her debts and is cynically looking for a lover who helps her financially. Liliana returns to Anfri, where she consoles her depressed son Enrichetto. Caterina and Liliana decide to go to Barcelona to look for Pablo and get him back to Italy, and after a long search they find him. Peter returns from Carlotta and clarify. Rebecca feels sick and finds she is pregnant of Geremia. Carlotta and Pietro are fighting again, so the boy sells Porsche to buy an engagement ring: he wants to marry her and presents it to her mother Ines pretending to welcome them well inviting the guys to live with her in her big villa.

Cetty comes to know that her son Geremia will become a father and try to convince Rebecca to abort. Caterina wants to leave for the honeymoon but Attilio does not show up. Jeremiah and Rebecca confess to Ettore waiting for a baby and she signs the separation. Attilio returns to Anfri and not finding Caterina, he gets drunk. She will reach her at the end of the episode, in the countryside, along with Agostina and Cetty.

As they are about to leave for the honeymoon, Eleonora confides to Caterina to wait for a son from Attilio, who is thrown out of the house. The woman moves to her home in Rome, disappointed by her husband's behavior. Eleonora's gym instructor, however, will reveal that everything has been invented and that Attilio has nothing to do with the baby. Peter will return to live alone, and to paint, as Carlotta hoped. Eleonora closes her shop for bankruptcy.
