- Businessman S.K. Dharampal lives a wealthy lifestyle in India along with his socialite wife, Shobha, a college-going son, Vijay, and a well-endowed house-maid named Chhamiya. He does not approve of his wife spending too much time away from home, usually at gyms and Mahila Mandal meetings. To make matters worse, he is asked to meet with Dr. A.K. Jayant, a Psychiatrist, who had apprehended Vijay peeping on women who were being intimate with their spouses. The doctor asks Mr. Dharampal and Shobha to keep a close eye on the sexually aroused Vijay and ensure that he does not do this again. Dr. Jayant is also concerned about Vijay as he finds his pretty daughter, Neetu, has fallen in love with him. Then Mr. Dharampal gets a visit from the Police - who claim that Vijay is on the run after killing a woman named Nisha Sahay, who is the wife of Avinash, and a close friend of Shobha. The question remains did Vijay really kill Nisha, and if so, what was his motive?
- Elaborate melodrama, presented the problems of uneven development in terms of an emotional conflict between and innocent feudal rural female and a worldly-wise capitalist urban male. Hero Raghu (Nagaiah), an unemployed graduate, insists on marrying the village girl Janaki (Kanchanmala) despite the opposition of his scheming mother who wants a dowry. Raghu's unemployment problems continue despite his migration to the city, leaving his wife in the clutches of her mother-in-law. When Raghu wins a lottery for Rs. 5 lakhs and returns home, he finds his wife and infant son have left. Although his mother insists he marry again, Raghu goes to the city and dedicates himself to social work, including building factories in order to create employment opportunities. In this he is assisted by his rich female college friend, provoking gossip about their relationship. Raghu's wife, now a poor flower seller, sees her husband with his new friend and believes he has remarried.
- Having become impoverished through circumstance, a rural family move to the city to start afresh. Tragedy strikes when the father dies, leaving his wife (Anjali Devi) with two sons and a daughter. Seeing a route to Easy Street, the eldest son (Rammohan) marries a crooked politician's daughter whilst the youngest boy (Chandramohan)is forced to work to support his mother and sister. Despite the hardship, he maintains his belief in the good of the common people. The brothers find themselves on opposing sides during an election campaign and the argument leads to a violent struggle during which their mother is injured. A family reconciliation ensues.
