Based on the 80's black comedy, Heathers (1988), and its musical adaptation, Heathers: The Musical (2014), The Veronica Exclusive is a modern twist on the old cult teen film.

The evil villain is defeated and the heroine finally gets to kiss her prince. And they all live happily ever after... or at least some of them did. While that the villains of these fairy tale stories have been defeated it all seems to be fine, except now in the rubble of these bad guys their teenage children are left alone to fend for themselves. As the heroes of our stories, they want to give these children the benefit of the doubt, But of course, there are obligations that must be met. Each child must post some sort of update video and at least once a week, the children have to video chat in a sort of "therapy session." At the end, they're given a choice: to be good or to follow in the steps of their parents.

"The Friends of the ABC" centres around the web-based meetings of the eponymous social justice group, lead by Agatha Enjolras. What originally brings the group to action is the murder of a local homeless man, committed by a police officer assumed to be Javert (a policeman known to many members of the group). This sparks a call to arms, and the group initiate plans for a peaceful protest. As the series progresses, we delve deeper into the relationships between the characters, as well as their relationship, or lack thereof, with social justice.

Veronica, beaten up and bloody, has just gone through hell, with only her audio recorder and old videos to show for it. Determined to make sure the truth about what happened at Westerberg High is out there, she goes back to the beginning, showing the very first video she made, before everything went downhill.
