Love, rape, revenge: the memories of a Nazi soldier's romance unfold fifteen years after the end of WWII. The mystery of the consequence of an unbearable outrage to be revealed as syphillis turns into the nurse's payback: a 'sweet medicine' that carries the same mercilessness of her rape's perpetrators.
How far can the hunger for revenge go for a woman who feels she was the victim of a violence that took away her dignity and her sense of dedication in taking care of the others?
Based on a true story told over decades by word of mouth, the nameless Czech nurse became history for being considered both as a whore and a heroine as she decided to take her revenge over all the Nazi soldiers admitted in the same hospital where she was raped. Syphillis became the harshest and easiest weapon she could use to pay back her humiliation. One after the other, the soldiers she was supposed to take care of disappeared, lost in the maze of the incurable filthy disease.
A personal choice that is still questionable for some and not at all to be blamed for others, but for sure a verdict that leaves the viewer hanging with a question: will an eye for an eye make the whole world go blind?
