Stories of Us: Camp Second Chance Trailer
Camp Second Chance (CSC) is a homeless camp within Seattle, Washington -- a state known for its natural beauty and a city widely considered one of the top places to live in the United States. Yet the local homeless population has increased by 40% within the last few years, bringing the total to over 10,000 people. To connect the viewer with the homeless population on an intimate level, Director Melinda Raebyne decides to live at Camp Second Chance during winter. Sharing with you some of their personal stories, as well as her actual experience being homeless, we put faces to the statistics and a voice to their stories. We hope to humanize a population in ways that allow viewers to see a bit of themselves and better relate to a neglected and often 'forgotten population'.
