What would constitute a man going through a ' mid life crisis' to commit a murder for a much younger female who he's clearly besotted with? This went through my mind as a flaw to the story but then I remembered it was based on a true life crime in Spain.
It kept us guessing with different view points from each of the would be male suitors esp the gullible male nurse!! Haha!.
I enjoyed the amorally of the lead female because I couldn't wait for her to be caught and put on trial.
My only gripe was I wanted to see more of the breakdown of the relationship between Artimus and his conniving wife.
A solid, decent Netflix thriller.

One thing I always criticise about romance films; or indeed any film/show that features a story /sub plot about two people falling or becoming in love ,is do they have chemistry?
Sometimes it's just chucked into the script without merit or logic thus becoming laughable on screen- recently we watched a series called' Ragdoll' where it was more a ' tick box exercise', if you know what I mean!
Here,Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs exude chemistry. They make the audience believe their a couple, have a history , a marriage. The ultimate test would be Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie in Don't Look Now.
This is a charming true life story that appeals to Laura and I for obvious walking experiences.
Only the reasons why Moth lost his money aren't fully developed are my only gripe.

Amy Ryan gives a commanding central performance that I secretly was lamenting that she isn't used enough in shows and films. She is an underrated actress, playing the working class mother too a hilt.
She is ably supported by young Thomas in MacKenzie as her daughter and Gabriel Byrne (good to see him again) as the detective leading the case of her missing daughter.
It's a solid Netflix drama. Those looking for a well acted drama will get it but those looking for a tense thriller about missing young girls will be disappointed. Its a slow burn drama that focuses more on the victims families and their quest to be heard whilst the police have given up searching for the disappeared.
The wintry photography works well and I was taken aback by the end.
