One of those movies, the watching of which, totally makes up for the fact you've seen Hotel Transylvania 2 three times.
Aloof, melancholic and lyrically visualized snapshot of village life and a woman trapped between holding onto the man she loves and resisting tradition.
Simple and very direct. There is not much dynamism in this narrative but that only puts more weight in the sense of indolence as an individual who has had very little opportunity in life asks for so little and doesn't really even get that.
Banel is not afraid to radiate visible contempt for the world around her and soon you do as well.

I don't really know what to say about this because it's exactly what you expect basically.
One of the few real comedies ever made, not being just a drama with a few jokes thrown in.
It's cute and holds the attention.
The ecological angle isn't ideal because I think we were all soured against that as kids since schools never got round to mentioning that ecological responsibility might actually help real people. It's not just being natural for the sake of being natural.
I didn't OJ was in this one too. It's fun to watch him in it. I like that.
Pretty much every real comedy ever made has had Leslie Nielsen in it, isn't that curious?

When you really think about it, this kind of has a bland and very generic plot. The paint by numbers kind that barely holds the attention when you'll just watch anything.
But what makes it worth watching is simply the technical wizardry that is realizing these characters in this way.
It's all fun from start to end. The musical numbers look professional though it's only "but I'll always love you" that really stands out as musical classic.
There's nothing experimental or risky in this and I suppose that's the charm but it makes it harder to think of anything to say about it except that it's good in that familiar, unadventurous way, but I like it.
I feel annoyed by the committment to a G rating though.
