I've never been into k-drama and not quite sure why I even started this series but I throughly enjoyed it.
It's not deep in story although there is a series long tale in the background, it's a mix of ghost of the week and will they won't they storytelling. It's a light hearted rather then dark and just easy to watch. If your stuck for something on Netflix you could do a lot worse than this.

It was a great start to this show with some original takes on the White House and how to govern in the states. Coming from the uk the show wasn't something that jumped straight out at me but after giving it a go I was hooked. Seasons 1 & 2 had some great writing and acting and Keifer was at his normal monologging best. The show was unfortunately let down with series 3 as most of the reviews will tell you. It's a shame as the first 2 seasons were up there with some of the best
So many negative reviews and most I can understand as it's not TNG and apart from some of the characters and history they are completely different. This has obviously hurt the feelings of some who want a return to episodic story telling and a problem of the week show. This is not it. It's a slow burner giving you a little bit of story each week with a splash of nostalgia. The writing is above par although there was a few moments even I had to raise an eyebrow at but all in all it's solid. If you liked discovery you'll like this as they're very similar in aesthetics and build towards the final episodes the same way. All in all a good update and continuation of one of my all time favorites.
