I am SO glad I didn't read the synopsis or watch the trailer of this movie! It absolutely would have had such a different outcome for me because of that. A friend of mine said that there was a movie I would enjoy, and therefore I watched it. She and I have very similar tastes in movies. I think the few sentences on IMDb telling you what the movie is about destroys the whole premise for you! I believed for Maybe half of this film that this guy was for real. When it finally clicked in for me was going on it was as though I was living it in the same way the characters were. That made it so much more powerful! I think it would've taken a great deal of the intrigue away if I had known what was really going on. I only saw the snippet about what the movie was going to be about when I went to put in my rating. What was the point? Why not just say it's a Spy thriller? Anyway, I really enjoyed figuring things out along with the characters.

As I'm writing this, there is only one other person who has left a review. I get the feeling that they may not have ever seen a Hallmark movie before! I could be wrong, but what was so charming about this movie was that although there was a secret to be revealed, what was different than almost any other Hallmark movie in Hallmark's existence since I've discovered them was there was no tiny unnecessary disagreement that led to an over the top ending of the relationship. Of course, this happens at about 10 minutes before the ending, and then somehow the characters figure out that one of them was wrong and the immediately end the movie in a kiss. I'm always waiting for that to happen and it always does pretty much, but I was really thrilled that this was not the case here. There were little disagreements here and there, but it was quite believable. I agree with the previous review, saying that the writing was good and the actors had very good chemistry. The storyline was unique, not the typical Hallmark formula, and it kept me interested in what was going to come next. The person who played the HR character was definitely over the top, but I didn't feel that the other characters were one dimensional. This was extremely enjoyable in my opinion and really worth the watch.

I have often said that as much as I sometimes enjoy watching Hallmark movies because it doesn't take much concentration since most of them are the same basic storyline with different actors. I watched them on nights when I've had stressful days and don't want to think too much. But at the same time when I do want to be deeply interested in the story, Hallmark movies are generally not what I turned to. This however, was a very pleasant surprise with a lovely family mystery that continued throughout the entire movie! It had a lot more layers than you even expected, and the acting was quite believable. It made me feel warm inside and what better words could I have for a Christmas movie experience? Good job, Hallmark!
