This film serves as a poignant, albeit softened, reflection of the brutal realities of the caste system in India. Far from the dramatic music and slow-motion sequences typical of cinematic portrayals, the real-world implications of caste are far more severe, often muted in films due to censorship and the fear of offending certain groups. The movie courageously tackles the caste system, a societal construct engineered by those at the top to maintain their dominance. Rooted in fabricated mythologies and scriptures crafted by the same elites, this system was designed to perpetuate a hierarchy that benefits a select few while marginalizing others, particularly the so-called "backward castes." These natives, the original inhabitants of the land, were systematically dispossessed by invaders who imposed a religion intertwined with caste to cement their control. The film's depiction of honor killings, though restrained, hints at the chilling reality of violence driven by this entrenched belief in social superiority and inferiority, particularly in stigmatizing inter-caste marriages under the guise of tradition.
While the film doesn't delve as deeply into the raw brutality of these issues as it could, it remains a compelling and well-crafted eye-opener. The background score is perfectly attuned, amplifying the emotional weight of the narrative, while the acting delivers powerful, authentic performances that bring the story to life. The direction is commendable, striking a balance between storytelling and social commentary. By presenting a gentler version of this harsh truth, the film still succeeds in sparking reflection on the caste system's devastating impact, including its role in perpetuating honor killings as a tragic byproduct of rigid social hierarchies.
Ultimately, this movie is a commendable effort to shed light on one of the world's greatest social travesties-the caste system's enduring grip on society. It serves as a reminder that humanity was not born with caste; it was imposed by those seeking to preserve their power and privilege. While the film may not capture the full extent of the cruelty faced by marginalized communities, it is a step toward exposing these injustices. With its strong performances, evocative score, and thoughtful direction, this is a must-watch for those seeking to understand the deep-rooted inequalities that continue to shape lives in India.

Review of an Artistic Horror Film Failure
The film markets itself as an artistic horror experience, but it falls drastically short of delivering on either front. Instead of crafting a chilling or thought-provoking narrative, it leans heavily on poorly executed CGI that undermines any potential for immersion or suspense. The visual effects are not only subpar but also distractingly artificial, pulling viewers out of the experience rather than drawing them into the intended atmosphere. Far from being innovative, the CGI feels like a crutch for a production unwilling or unable to invest in practical effects or creative cinematography that could have elevated the film's eerie potential.
The horror elements, which should be the backbone of any film in this genre, are virtually nonexistent. There is no sense of dread, tension, or unease to grip the audience. Scenes that aim to unsettle instead come across as flat and uninspired, failing to evoke even a fleeting moment of fear. The absence of genuine horror is compounded by the film's reliance on tired, clichéd mythological characters. These figures, rooted in familiar and overused myths, feel like a lazy attempt to lure audiences with recognizable names rather than offering fresh or compelling lore. The decision to center the narrative around such predictable archetypes, without adding depth or originality, results in a story that feels derivative and uninspired from the outset.
The direction is another significant weak point, marked by a lack of vision and coherence. The pacing is sluggish, with scenes dragging on without purpose or momentum, as if the filmmakers were merely filling time to meet a runtime quota. The script is equally lackluster, meandering through a disjointed storyline that fails to establish a clear narrative arc or emotional stakes. Key plot points are introduced haphazardly, and resolutions feel unearned or nonsensical, leaving viewers disengaged and confused. The dialogue is stilted, lacking the nuance or personality needed to bring the characters to life or make their interactions meaningful.
The characters themselves are a major disappointment, portrayed with such blandness that they fail to leave any impression. The performances are uniformly dull, with actors delivering lines in a monotone that suggests a lack of direction or motivation. There is no depth or complexity to their personalities, making it impossible for audiences to connect with or care about their fates. Supporting characters are particularly forgettable, serving as little more than plot devices to pad the runtime. This lack of engaging character development further erodes any potential for emotional investment in the story.
Cinematography and sound design, which could have salvaged some sense of atmosphere, are equally underwhelming. The visuals are uninspired, with generic framing and lackluster color palettes that do little to enhance the mood. The soundtrack is forgettable, failing to build tension or complement the film's supposed horror elements. Even the editing feels careless, with jarring transitions that disrupt the flow and highlight the film's overall lack of polish.
Ultimately, this film is a profound disappointment as a horror offering and an even greater failure as an artistic endeavor. It lacks the creativity, technical proficiency, and emotional resonance needed to engage its audience or justify its existence in a crowded genre. The reliance on shoddy CGI, clichéd mythology, and a directionless script results in a plodding, lifeless experience that neither scares nor captivates. Fans of horror seeking a thrilling or innovative film would be better served looking elsewhere, as this movie delivers nothing of value and leaves no lasting impact.

There is a difference between Violence and Grossness. To make the film look violent, you cannot show severed prosthetic body parts, eyeballs on the ground, prosthetic gross burned flesh. That makes a movie Gross and will make the viewer grossed out and puke and not feel euphoric or give any adrenaline rush..
To compete with other movies the failed directors cannot just make such movie which are more of a gross B grade slasher movies rather than a movie with substance. The story and drama is nowhere to be found, screenplay is scattered, direction is like an advertisement which made the whole movie look like a trailer. This is not the way to make something violent, or the film makers will start showing uncut post mortems or autopsies of the bodies to gross out the viewers and then claim to be the most violent film. NOPE.

From start to end, you will be Bombarded with actors hamming with cliche dialogues. Over imposed action which feels like a over-sized pillow stuffed in a small jar.. Violence and fights scenes feel like a brat creating ruckus with no any gravitas and character or indulgence.. The actor just fights kills hits bleeds and even after that hams with cliche dialogues which actually does not even look close to having any swag, but having a fake blood and makeup and then you are made to say the dialogues to woo the audience. But they forgot to to add intensity and seriousness into the scenes throughout the movie!
Nowhere it seems like they are putting any efforts to show the intensity with lack of situational awareness! Without any reaction or pain of the injury the actor just decides to turn around like a lifeless zombie say the dialogues in a swag, which makes you think, is this a movies or a spoof... Rampant action sequences does not make a movie Violent. Movie has to have proper actors putting all their serious efforts to convey the message and emotions in an effortless manner and most importantly, without hamming.
The direction is average, cinematography is overdone as it shows various angles and unnecessary zooming and shaking to create a failed viewing experience, music is forgettable, BGM too is loud for no reason, the sound effects are to gimmicky which adds more cherry on the cake to the actors who are hamming with poor stale not so funny dialogues..

(no spoilers) Somewhere i think the casting was totally misfit, nobody seemed like a believable character from the criminal to the cop. Actors apart from the cop was either bland, or overly acted. Like the criminal character was too dramatic and unrealistic.
The background score was not worked upon, and nowhere it gave a suspenseful or grim feel. And the song as well was extremely misfit as per the situation. Concept was good, but even a tv serial would've done more justice to it than this unbaked movie.
The direction was not so good, cinematography was just like a normal screen drama, nothing special. Music was a failure, acting was so so, suspense and thrill element was missing, only the story was used to pull the viewers which according to me was not enough.

The casting was Bang on, they looked 90% lookalikes to the original players! The energy and the emotion in the film was captured like a butterfly in a glass container. Best direction, and the camerawork during the game was just phenomenal! Acting was to the point of all the actors.
The music, background score and the songs by A. R. Rahman were mesmerizing and gave goosebumps as well as tears of joy, especially the during the victory in the end, the music was so calm subtle and yet so powerful that it had a great impact as a viewer. A must watch patriotic and sports film. I gave 9 stars, one less just because i expected a little humor as well, but it is as good as it could possible get.

This is neither a proper Thriller nor a comedy film. Just like there are some perfumes which are so loud and headache inducing, this is the same garbage. It totally missed all the brackets it wants to be in. The film is more of a pretentious wanna be "who is the killer" puzzle film.
This has unnecessary sexual scenes, one which involves a minor girl looking at it. The director has to be nuts to literally make this scrap. The comedy was extremely lame, off putting, and forcibly slid in between serious situations. The direction was poor, screenplay was gimmicky which was too annoying. They had to pause the screen on almost every character for introductions, which was hell of annoying and gimmicky again. Music and background score was like a below average Hollywood comedy movie. The film never gave any sense throughout. Garbage is the only word comes to my mind.!
No spoilers are given, everything i wrote is based on the technical aspects.

Salman khan did the same monotonous low pitch voice in all his recent movies. Which is unbearable, annoying. No voice modulations, emotions and variations.. He probably tries to imitate Bobby deol silent action hero type acting. Like Soldier, Bichhoo, Gupt.. But Bobby Deol's low pitch voice is not annoying at all, it is soothing, while Salman's voice seems like he has flu and sore throat since a month.
The acting of all the actors was decent. Story was forgettable, screenplay was similar to the previous versions, nothing catchy. Overall a linear action drama. And another repetitive thing in the movie was the introduction Background music, especially Emraan Hashmi's BGM, it was given each and every time he came on screen!! Hella irritating, overdone! Unnecessary!
Its a boring film for me. No spoilers.

Poor Direction, Poor Screenplay, Poor story line. There was not a single scene or incident where i had a laugh. The comedy was forcefully slid in between the scenes. Everything since the beginning was like pretentiously trying to make scenes funny but ended up in making awkward. The whole movie itself is a failure, and it doesn't have any direction at all..!
To sum it up, it was neither entertaining, nor funny nor emotional, nor thriller, nor suspenseful.. The music was generic, scenes made no any sense, story had no head and no tail, which makes you think why is this, what is this, was this meant to be funny, or emotional, or tries to give some satirical message...

The cinematography is bad, screenplay is bad, sound editing and recording is terrible! The audio is clipping and cracking everywhere! The CGI is worst. Overall a disaster.
This ruined the series 1920. This is worst than a school project, it looks like somebody just tried to make a film just because of having access to the film makers! The director has made a mess, this looks like a pretentious scenic video shoot converted as a horror film.
Only the two 1920 versions are better. Rest of them are bad, and this one is purely horrible in each and every aspect, the filming, the story, the sound, the screenplay and the direction.

I just want this series to be lost in void and nowhere to be found. The pace is lame, the background music is like it tries to put you to sleep, the cinematography is like an art film to show how to aesthetically capture faces in close up.
Everything in this was anti-suspense and uninteresting and it just drew me to review it, it was so bad! The concept was very good, but the direction execution, screenplay was sleep inducing and terrible. Since the beginning it was scattered and continued to Bore pretty well.
This series can do one job the best, and that is if you aren't feeling sleepy, it will make you sleep.

Nagraj P Manjule, has yet again delivered a phenomenal splendid job with this movie 'Jhund'. This is the reality of the 80% of india's population. They are in majority but suppressed and intentionally ignored by the actual minor in population which is the rest upper class.
This is the factual drama brought on screen with the help of a real story. And it is not just a documentary style film, it has meaning in each and every scene! All the scenes in the movie are very impact full, rampant and those hit hard on you!
Especially the ending scenes like when the guy has some burden of crimes, and unlawful conscience, but he was baptized on screen when he finally comes out clean from the metal detecting machine door leaving the illegal stuff behind. That scene brings tears. Such an emotional, meaningful hard hitting scene. Similarly the wall of disparity and the real huge wall in the area which they cannot cross being minorities and from slum, but in the end, with their capabilities and talent they not just crossed the wall but they Flew over it! That scene again bring Goosebumps!
Kudos to the director for such a masterpiece. And this must not be a subject to resent especially from only the upper class, just because the minorities are being highlighted and Dr. Ambedkar and Ambedkarites have been displayed with enormity. And they rate it intentionally low. That is shallow heartedness.

This was matrix collapse. System hijacked. Mission failed! Thats it, No more Matrix for me. This is how you mess up a franchise. No any continuation no screenplay engagement, just too flat to be intriguing. Pretentious.
This is what is called as a perfect Movie. The story was good, the acting of all the characters was commendable. This is realistic but a dramatic tinted movie which was really a need of the moment when there are only the fabricated one sided masala films which only glorify the image of the cops, where as that is a rare case. This movie shows the reality. And the harsh truth. Well made.
Garbage in one word. The concept was very good, but the execution, script, direction was Horrible.. More like a low budget less thought film. Could be avoided at any given cost..
This movie had a great potential to be a great action film.. But poor direction, and screenplay ruined the whole scenario. Also the punjabi character who was so expressionless that even the Fau-G game punjabi soldier was more expressive.
Memories and more memories.... I wish they make a tv show named "friends again" where their on screen kids reunite... with a new cast. But i was so heart felt to see this....
This is a pretentious , wannabe artistic, Abuse of Found footage genre.. And illusional ....
I was really engaged in the beginning, it started off pretty well, giving out the Prometheus type of vibes.. But... slowly slowly turned out to be weird, dislocated, out of the track. And the most annoying thing was the Jump scare tricks here and there... Which is the cheapest option to scare and shock the viewer instead of frightening psychologically..
That pissed me off big time, and the director missed and wasted a great opportunity by ruining the concept and making it a low grade tricky drama.

Let me try to tell what went wrong technically without revealing the story..
Firstly the anecdotes or the screenplay was pretty messed up and confusing, its like when you show the protagonist's entry when not expected and then moved on to the slow pace back drop story..
The music was fusion with folk songs, but ruined it with the over electronic experimental beats here and there which was totally unnecessary. The chorus and singer's voice was over used during the screenplay which made it quite monotonous and tamed the interest in the movie.. overall wrong choice of music directors.
Screenplay was dull and dark, which didn't quite engage as an audience at all. could have been way better, brighter, with engaging side actors and alive. The cast of childhood actors was wrong, where the girl looks bigger, aged and stronger than the boy, whereas she should've been an innocent looking little girl to make the story more convincing that he fell for an innocent girl..
There were artistic scenes here and there with slow motion which felt like an advertisement on television. The story was good, but the execution was bad, the direction, cinematography, screenplay, and music.. all were messed up and didn't accompany each other. Whereas the acting of the lead character in adulthood was good but proved of least use. Hence, a great opportunity was missed.

This is by far one of the best Romantic Thriller movie in bollywood.. This realistic shade used for Vidyut Jamwal was a successful experiment, his performance was excellent, he did a fantastic job to portray the character of a normal middle class working man.
There is some resentment from the typical masala films audience which is just 10% and its baseless. They expected vidyut jamwal to do action stunts, beat villains, do martial arts etc which is a cliche expectation derived form masala bollywood choices.
This film was a hard hitter, full of emotions, and showed the impact of isolation from loved ones when the life partner is in a danger and in a extreme difficult situation and condition. Vidyut carried the realistic emotions, anger, helplessness, which the person in real life would do. So without revealing much, its a Very Very intense and i was extremely heart felt after watching the film. Which only people having loved ones will feel. Can't give any less than 10 for the emotions and the performances.

The movie / short film was pretty good and scary.. But the only biggest disappointment was its short length.. and everything just came up too quick and rapid. This is really a downgrade for film industry to gradually reduce the film length day by day..
This length cutting in the name of liberal people's choices, and their busy schedule, and they demand less screen time is ruining the film making.. This has to come under short film category. If this less run time keeps going then that day is not far that the films will be 5 to 10 mins in length, because liberals have less time.....
