I've seen many k-dramas and honestly I watch them for the romance and not for the serial killer side plot, or the intricate dealings of business and office politics.
We finally got an amazing rom-com that is all about the romance! This wouldn't work if the leads weren't so incredible, but they both blew me away and gave me all the feels as the story unfolded. This wasn't meant as some break-through new story, it's a Cinderella story as the title says. I'm not sure I've met a Cinderella retelling that I haven't liked, and this one had a fresh take that was so enjoyable to see.
This is the perfect drama to watch if you want something relatively light but with all the classic k-drama tropes and a great cast. At 10 episodes it's the perfect amount for a great weekend binge.

This show is both comforting and interesting. I felt like I was a part of the small town of geosan as we went on a journey through the eyes of Kim Baek-Du wonderfully acted by Jang Dong-Yoon. He is an absolutely green flag of a guy and I genuinely rooted for him over and over.
I hadn't heard of ssireum (Korean wrestling) before watching this show and by the end, I felt wholly invested in the sport.
Although a murder mystery circled the central plot it doesn't overwhelm the main plot or become gruesome in any way.
This drama keeps the story tight with just 12 episodes so at no point do you feel like it's dragging. I would definitely recommend this for a watch.

My 8-year-old son is an avid reader of this series and has read it several times over. When I asked him if he thought the new series was good, he turned around and whispered, "Oh yeah" and gave me the thumbs up.
