Kartik Aryan has probably nailed the first Filmfare of his life. A character that had no option except over acting, he played it normally. The story and screenplay are better and scarier than the second one (the first one is incomparable so comparison is futile). The horror parts of the film are amazing. But the obstacle is comedy. Such unnecessary and irrelevant comedy is rarely seen. Only to compete with the Maddock Supernatural universe, they hv enforced comedy in it. And that's where Stree 2 succeeds more. The film would have been much better if it had just been a pure horror film. Madhuri and Vidya r superb in grey shades. And kudos to Anees Bazmee for thinking of such a story. Just one request, there is a huge dearth of good horror films in India. Comedy is pretty abundant. Scare people with these movies. The breed of humans is timid but loves to be scared.
Rohit Shetty's best film till date. This movie also beat Zameen because Zameen had vulgar songs like Dilli Ki Shardi. This is the first time a commercial film has no songs. Tight screenplay and pace. Ajay, Deepika & Tiger properly neutralize Ranveer Singh's jokery with their action. Akshay and Kareena have no role but their presence is enough. But the real surprise package is Arjun Kapoor. Best performance of his life and even better is his entry sequence. This is probably the best intro of a Bollywood villain. There is a modern representation of Ramayana, but it is justified by historical facts and places. Watching this film reminded me of the golden era of Khakee, Qayamat or Dus, when producers didn't become paupers by making multi-starrers. Thanks Rohit Shetty.
Unpopular opinion :-
Out of all 3 Independence day releases, The best is Khel Khel Mein. It jst shows how superficial frndships n relationships r in today's world. There is only one person who truly loves u, n thats u urself, along with ur parents. Don't expect any morality from ur partner as nobody is a saint today. Mudassar Aziz told such a harsh reality in a totally comic manner. But at the end, u realise this is a very important film for the society. Taapsee rocks again as a panjaban after Dunki. The background score of the song parde mein rehne do is too appropriate for the movie. Jst one advice of wisdom : don't watch it with ur partner.
