The kids were great! The acting, singing, and dancing was all on point. Emma Thompson was also amazing and did a wonderful job.

The other adults on the other hand were sadly forgettable. Even miss honey didn't feel like a main character. I grew up with the old 90's movie Matilda and miss honey was very important and you could feel that she loved Matilda with their acting. This miss honey had a beautiful voice, but it felt like there should have been more scenes with her teaching and talking to Matilda.

I was entertained almost the entire two hours of film which is what i consider good. It's not perfect but it was still fun.

I liked the old show as it was wholesome and entertaining. This is extremely forces and Herman was a idiot. In the series he had jokes, but he was also wise. The girl that played Lily seemed to do a decent enough job, but it still wasn't amazing.

Honestly i couldn't even finish the movie as it just kept getting worse and worse. They should have got some people involved that actually liked the old show to make it decent. I can't believe this script was even approved as there's not really anything to it.

I can't imagine finishing this movie as it felt so long even at the start. I kept on watching because I told myself it was going to get better.... It never did.
