What a really great change of pace. Among the plethora of bog standard detective drama's, to get something very fresh, different. What a pleasure. A murder mystery but investigated not by Plod, detectives, Private eyes. The victims peers are the crux, young people, looking int the death of a friend or acquaintance, for different reasons. And dealing with young people's angst too. Thoroughly enjoyed. Brilliantly carried by the young cast. The lead, Emma, was exceptional. Typical of a British programme, supported by lovely setting (those finding and choosing locations are unsung heroes). I really hope they do more, the further books in the series. What a waste when you have set up a production, then waste it. More please.

Can't believe this isn't getting better reviews and more praise. Stunning performance from Glenister in particular. You can see every drop of pain and confusion, despair in his performance. His face. If that is what acting is, conveying all of this with a look, he is some actor indeed. Pertwee is excellent as the somewhat immoral, selfish radio dj who just pretends to care, but even he is overshadowed by Glenister. Some excellent support in supporting roles, but this is largely a two header. Something rather different. Quite a sad, hard watch. Channel 5 proving they can turn out some top quality drama.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Great to see something different. Concentrating on local Alaskan newspaper, and outlines the problems they face, with the spine of the story about the lack of attention to the disappearance of indigenous women, but so much more. An experienced lady reporter who initially considers remote local news beneath her, used to supposed bigger things, but soon finds there are definitely big things that need investigating and spotlighting, local and sometimes wider reaching. A disparate group of people, all with their own issues, backstory, likeable and decently fleshed out in the time available. And for us, seeing the issues in a very different but very real world to ours just enhances it. Just found it is not progressing. 'Kin 'ell, what is WRONG with these damn studios, so many brilliant things canned, while producing so much dross. This deserved far better. Gutted.
