This is a good home invasion movie, with psychopath characters that have a pretty plausible way of seeing things, which is a rare but important quality to my taste.
The movie makes you really uneasy, and leaves you with a conclusion that makes you wonder how close the psychopaths' assessment is to reality.
Some questions are left unanswered, which seems normal to me. What the author wanted to say has been said. That's also a rare but important quality.
Acting is good, directing is too, writing, emotion is there, it gets worse and worse as the trap closes shut.
I would watch this alone (as I would any atmosphere movie)

It's all in the title.
This is a very good scary movie as in really scary which is not the case for most "scary" movies.
Good rhythm, good ideas, the story holds up well, good characters with pretty good instincts, jump scares, uneasiness, and a lot of gore.
Checking all these boxes is pretty rare.
For me it's a success, minus the fact that there isn't any particular subtext to the movie, which I greatly enjoy in the genre, but I guess you can't have everything.
8/10.
(I am not familiar with the whole evil dead franchise, so I couldn't comment on whether or not it's a good sequel or has good references to the previous movies)

If you don't already know everything about Simone Veil's life and accomplishments, this movie isn't for you. And if you do, you probably won't like it either.
The movie constantly jumps from one period to another, from one subject to another, in an unforgiving 2h20 long artsy montage, mentioning people/organization names or showing them speak, without giving any clue as to who/what they are, so no chance to understand unless you're already an expert on the movie's subject.
Sexism is represented as very easily manageable and unthreatening, antisemitism is absent aside from the arrestations and camps...
I was so enthusiastic for a movie that tells Simone Veil's story, this movie is so not up to the task.
