Note de MadSpaghetti
I'm not sure how to feel about this movie.
I enjoyed the brotherly banter once again. Bernthal did another excellent job making me feel for him as the little brother who just wants to be loved and to feel connected to something, especially his big brother.
I'm not sure what the heck Affleck was doing with his character this time around. In the first movie, I felt he did a great job portraying someone on the spectrum. His attention to detail, his ability to see the numbers and patterns, and his mannerisms were spot on.
This time around he was way off. They could have and should have done more of his "special" abilities to remind you of who his character is supposed to be. There was only the one part where he rearranged the wall of information.
His behavior and mannerisms were so OFF that it was cringeworthy at times. He was very robotic and it came off as just strange. He kept using a weird, almost accent now and then when he talked.
Maybe he forgot how to play an autistic person?
It was a good movie overall, but felt like just another shoot em up action movie rather than a sequel to a really good first movie.
