A suburban housewife's book club gets her into a very dark world. A surprising twist in her relationship with her husband, Kurt, (Andrew Biernat) takes you on an even darker journey. I was a little weary of this film, I don't usually watch this kind of content. I have been following Andrew Biernat's acting career and I was amazed that he took on a role like this. He comes off as a solid, intelligent and trustworthy guy. Nice husband type, loving and dependable. His character completely changes and it takes you on the edge of your seat! This movie was packed with surprises! Get ready for a thrill of a ride! Andrew Biernat doesn't disappoint. A little bit of Dexter mixed with Shades of Grey. Awesome story and scary. Hold on tight!
This movie was perfect for a romance. The beautiful landscape and charming characters. How can you not fall in love. Very sweet and wholesome. We need more family friendly movies. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie. I hope to see more of these kind of movies. I especially loved the scene that reminded me of Roman Holiday. We need to get back to the old style movies where characters don't have to engage in over the top love scenes. Humor and flirtatious characters are way more fun. You can actually sit down with your children and mixed company and not be embarrassed. I especially love the actors and I hope to see more of Andrew Biernat he is so handsome and funny.
I was so excited to finally see this best selling book come to the screen. Miles and Mercedes (Kate) steal your heart. Such wonderful chemistry with these two. The story is a classic. The mechanic and romance novelist are the perfect combination. Who would figure? It reminded me of old Hollywood romantic comedies like Doris Day and Rock Hudson in "Pillow Talk " a tad bit more steamy. Andrew Biernat is sensational and he is a sentimental gentleman with a touch of southern charm. Perfect book boyfriend. The red licorice reminds me of a cowboy chewing on hay. Kate/ Mercedes is adorable and no wonder Miles was smitten. They are magical together on screen. This movie is a perfect for a romantic date night. So grab your sweetheart and snuggle up for some good laughs and a few tears. It has everything.
