The movie does grab right it starts but does slow burn where gets interesting and acting is actually not bad. As I am watching it does peel have a thriller Horror vibe. I hope it has that shocking I expect from these kind of movies. The violence is without a doubt the best part of this movie. Its one of my favourite hostage/escape movie's. Patrick Stewart puts in a decent level of skill as well. The tone and mood of this film are perfect for what I believe it's trying to express. With many moody films like this, some of the dialogue feels skimmed over or hard to hear and understand. There are a lot of characters, many of which are quickly forgotten and don't provide any outstanding performances. However, in the final act when there are fewer players, the performances really have space to shine and feel more focused. Patrick Stewart and Imogen Poots really stood out with Anton Yelchin not far behind. Overall, the final act made me sit up and move closer to the screen, as well as bumping up my perception of this film.
This is the best movie I have ever seen. It is based on the book "Dream Androids about electric sheep?", and the soundtracks were made by vangelis! The film is accompanied by a constant state of suspense, due to unusual angles and scenes, which are terribly stretched to create a sombre melancholy. Such a set of feelings cannot but touch your soul and spoil your mood for the whole day! Also, the film raises difficult questions, like "How much human more humanised than a programmed machine" and many others. Seeping of complexity and drenched in neo-noir conventions, Blade Runner is an all-consuming and divergent movie that has beautiful imagery while asking questions regarding humanity and scientific advancement and at the same time feeling immensely fresh, deeply layered and bracingly audacious.
This is a really fun movie! It has great action, and a lot of cool special effects! The animals do look very fake, but it really wouldn't matter! Robin Williams is so much fun as the main character, and the movie moves really swiftly at 104 minutes long. If you are scared of spiders, beware, this movie is not for you. There are quite a lot of spiders in this film! Some stuff is very cheesy in this film, but overall, its really fun. I've just recently watched this as the film was added to Netflix. It's a good, enjoyable film for it's day and I loved the story-line and characters. Yes things could have been better, but it was done in 1995 where a lot of the special effects were limited. This site and the reviews are so harsh, people need to let it go and just enjoy it rather than thinking too much into things. Enjoy!
