I didn't come to the Out of Sight IMDB page planning to write a review. The mis-remembered 600 minimum character (I thought it was "only" 500) review is almost always daunting and takes the wind out of my sails, if I had any real hot wind to blow it all exits my body when I click the blue "+ Review" icon. Well, I am halfway there without saying anything so Great start! I came to read the Did You Know section after being caught in a Jennifer Lopez rabbit hole this evening and was saddened/disappointed/confused/angry this movie has only a 7.0 overall rating. This is easily my favorite Soderbergh directed film and I love almost every one of his directorial efforts. (Wow- sidenote: 600 characters comes quickly!) I didn't know it was based on an Elmore Leonard novel when I first saw it in theater, but the connection was obvious less than halfway through. Leornard's novels, more often than not, miss the mark whenever adapted to big or small screen but Soderbergh translates masterfully. DO NOT PASS UP AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET! It is a decision you will not regret...

His death reverberated throughout Hollywood for many months afterward, he was loved and respected by all who knew him and/or worked with him. He was a genuine good soul, a giant of a man in stature and kindness. Although he was gone from this world too soon he left an indelible body of work that will live on forever...
