Although this show is slightly reminiscent of
The Love Boat, it has its own style and charm. I love the set and all the combinations of blue, white, and gold. I just can't wait for Fridays to get here so I can watch another episode. I've had a secret crush on Joshua Jackson for years, loved him in Fringe. And now he's on a cruise ship and playing the doc! Flashbacks to one of my very first doctor crushes of Bernie Kopell playing Dr. Adam Bricker on The Love Boat, I'm hooked. And then add in a sexy love triangle with the doc and the nurses, what's not to like? Don Johnson adds to the cast as the divorced, aged captain that has been married to his work and has life lessons to share. Other reoccurring characters such as Monroe, the ship's Ex-O, and Rosie, the ship's engineer make it event more reminiscent of The Love Boat with its cast of characters. I really hope this show is picked up for another season to give everyone a chance to settle into their roles. And so I can continue to watch Jackson in those tight white uniform pants!
I really love this series, the casting is great. I can truly identify with Siaja and the way she is treated by her husband. Wish I had been able to make a break when I was young like her. I love the story line with her father. It's good to see the actor who plays him, again. He gives such heart to the character of Alistaire. And, I really like the actor who plays Kuuk, Jeremy from SkyMed. I sure hope there will be more episodes, seems like it was just starting to get deep the last few episodes. It's so refreshing to see something new on TV that hasn't already been done a million times over. I love the mix of the youth with the seniors in the show. And the community feel. Also the length of each episode is a good length if you are just looking for something to watch when you don't have a lot of time.
