Avis à la une
I love this movie. Christian kane was awesome in this movie a loving dad and devoted husband. The little.girl is just so cute. The end just made me cry... I love this movie. Kaniac forever
It is centered around the Holidays, so it is very well in line with all the pretty good Christmas movies. It's about a couple who are in the process of divorcing, but because of something that happened during their marriage perhaps??, they might have begun to drift away from each other. One wants the divorce more than the other. Along comes someone special in their lives to help keep them together. Does it work? You'll have to watch it to see for yourself, but it does have a cool and unique take on what might have caused the distance between the two. I like this movie a lot! It doesn't have a common title centered around the holidays or Christmas, but it does take place during the holidays. I watched this on the Lifetime channel, not knowing it was in tune with the holidays, I decided to watch it anyway. Glad I did because it wasn't a waste of my time.
Yes, I know it ticks all the boxes, formulaic, tick, overly sentimental, tick, even a bit manipulative, tick, and yet.... You can't help but be charmed by the story, can't help but fall in love with that little blonde angel, coming down to earth to help a couple fall in love again. I honestly wish Hollywood made more movies like this, a beautifully sweet little movie that all the family can enjoy, devoid of profanity, pointless sexual references or violence etc. I fell in love with this movie, with the beautiful story and the sassy little blonde angel. I couldn't help but smile a huge grin at some of the charming dialogue from that little girl. I found myself recollecting it again the following day and smiling all over again. There are very few movies I can say that about. I won't spoil it for you by telling specifics or how it ends, but it's a beautiful ending to a beautiful story. Maybe I'm getting overly sentimental in my old age, but I loved it and I think you will to.
This film is surprising for the acting talent displayed. The three lead characters as well as the two supporting male characters are clearly talented. Mallory reminds me of the fun of watching Shirley Temple. No singing involved, but she is genuine and brings the same childlike glee to her acting. Christian Kane does very well as a rough edged creative type whose game has lost some of its polish over the years. Marley Shelton is great at acting both hot and cold in her relationships, a struggle for many modern business women. I liked her character more and more throughout the film, and her heart is the true focus of the film. Ernie Hudson was pitch perfect in his delivery, even though his role was relatively small . Sean Miller is decent, although the role written for him was somewhat two- dimensional and definitely predictable.
Yes, the script is formulaic. Classic conflicts arise. You may even guess some of the twists in the plot. But the movie gives you the sense that it needs to be watched. Hopefully it will give some couples new hope and help them to avoid the devastation of divorce if they pay attention to the film's lessons. If not, they'll find out the hard way, which we see demonstrated within the film. But the movie will serve as good medicine for those who will hear the message and bring more happiness to them and their children. Change like that would truly be "Heaven Sent."

We live in a movie age that prizes high power special effects and depicts countless criminal acts from theft to robbery to torture to murder to mass murder. So the non-vicious, non-violent movies that are made can seem tame, maybe boring.
Don't let the insanity of evil and violence fill your every entertainment moment. Try a movie that explores the human condition played out in normal lives, one that explores the spiritual dimensions, one that makes you think and laugh and cry a little, too.
Wife and I were gripped and held by this movie, start to finish. Others here have written about the plot and the strengths of the acting and directing -- and we agree with those positive reviews. Heaven Sent is a family-friendly movie that blends some levity with serious life challenges, triggering something deeper in the process.
This movie ranks at the top of movies among the Lifetime and Hallmark channel offerings, and in our view, is nearly as good a film as Family Man. We'll watch it every year from here on.
