Baptism of Fire

Such a shame such a promising series has come down to this. I can't but catch myself on accepting the subpar writing, dialogue and acting on behalf of the fact that I love the franchise so much And I don't wanna say goodbye to it, but this last episode was so incredibly cringy.....

How is I possible that such a huge franchise with a multi million dollar budget is turned out to be such a dissapointment? Come on guys, don't ruin this thing. Could be so much more....

Loved the river and bridge sequence. Like in the book. Laughed quite a bit. I even thought that this season was closer to the source material. Just wish they hadn't left us hanging like that with Ciri 😜 but oh well... couldn't have finished without a big cliffhanger. I'm glad we are getting the next season soonish 🤗

This season is tragic and the writers need to vacate their place and find another job! And this last series is the most stupidly created for the entire season without absolutely any, even a small pleasure and satisfaction provided to the viewer to expect the next season, COMPLETE TRAGEDY! Apparently the writers think their viewer/audience is stupid? Given that the main character CIRI has such a powerful and enormous power and in the series she does not use it once during the entire season in any way? What is it for then? When the stupidly stupid script is written, so incompetently and illiterately by someone who has absolutely no idea how to provide a spectacle to the audience, WHY should they continue to watch the next seasons, which are about to be released, this will be a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME and ABSOLUTELY NO VIEWING SATISFACTION! COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

1/10 - Painful to watch and a huge step down

Season 4 of The Witcher was bad, if not outright horrible. The writing is the weakest the series has ever had, with a script so poorly done it is hard to stay engaged. Characters feel pointless and forced, added only to tick boxes instead of serving any purpose in the story.

The pacing is all over the place, the dialogue feels unnatural, and the random musical scenes are completely out of place in what should be a dark fantasy show. They break immersion and add nothing but cringe.

It is predictable, uninspired, and almost impossible to enjoy. I had to force myself to finish it just to see if it would get better, but it somehow ended in an even more disappointing way than it started.(Yes, sadly IT IS possible for that to happen)

If you liked the first seasons or the games, skip this one. It is not worth the time.

Watched all the series and this is the worse. Acting as usual is good but storyline, well could be better. A lot of rewinding as to why and who etc. Why always 8 episodes? Stretching out a story that could be said in 2 episodes does not improve if you make it in 8. Lots of clans fighting, cgi, going round in circles phew had enough. Why 5 instead of 1 as others I suppose I hope the writers will get off the drugs and write a decent story in series 5. Liam does well but maybe Henry saw the signs. So sad could do better.
