Holy Hell

It doesn't happen too often that i agree with the obviously fake, overenthusiastic reviews of cast, family members or whoever. this time i must admit that, even if i don't share the euphoria their authors must have experienced, "holy hell" was better than expected, and more entertaining than most other low budget production. the lighting is a bit odd at times, acting and effects straightup laughable but the plot is grim and there's enough violence to keep you tuned. unlike other cheap flicks, it doesn't try to be something it can't be. the fact that it is obviously a "hobo with a shotgun" - ripoff is bearable.

This movie sets out to be offensive, blasphemous and hysterically funny. Well, it does that. It wins hands down! Totally and utterly brilliant.

Strong performances and the actor, director was incredible. I was intimidated by the actor portraying the psychotic father. I loved the flow of the movie, it is dark, sick, funny, irreverent, gory, hysterical, dramatic, a master stroke of cinematography.

This is a movie that if you love comedy, you are going to love. If you have an inappropriate sense of humour, then this is YOUR movie! If you are gay/straight religious/atheist there is something to shock you, and make you laugh your head off.

Phenomenal performances by LaPlante, King and all the cast. Incredible pawnshop broker. This film is a uproarious horror with killer one-liners, an awesome gun, an unbelievably gory chainsaw and soo much blood. Fans of Pulp fiction and Rocky Horror - you will be entertained! Too much fun a must see.

Over the top! The incredible duo of LaPlante and King bring this grind house revenge flick screaming alive. Not for the faint of heart, this horror comedy has something for everyone, a massacre by dysfunctional creeps unleashes a merciless priest bent on revenge and there's a lot of unpredictable lethal twists along the way, This movie has something to unsettle your sensibilities yet leave you craving the sequel. Be sure to check it out with a pint to two on hand. Incredible entertainment value.

This movie is a tribute to all those movies that built John Waters's career and Grindhouse Video sales. It's got the right amount of satire and humor, as well as a cast who are up for anything to bring the genre to life. The writing is witty and well thought out to makes the most of the standard tropes. It's irreverent and has some of the best lines. Overall, if you want a movie that is funny, has silly violence, and mocks the sanctity of everything! Ryan LaPlante brings a very simple, yet complicated character to life. He is in good company with wonderful performances from family. I will be showing this movie to my friends with good taste!
