Avis à la une
Angry teen Andy Walton (Justin Kelly) and his younger brother Mark (Benjamin Stockham) are sent to live with their uncle Trent (Jason Patric) after some Andy trouble. The Walton family lost their fortune and control of their island after the death of Andy's grandfather. There is rumor that he left a treasure somewhere on the island and Andy intends to find it. John Broman (Cary Elwes) is an evil land developer who has been buying up the island. His daughter Claire (Celeste Desjardins) likes Andy and tries to help him.
This is one angry teen. That keeps me from truly rooting for him. He needs to chill. Justin Kelly is also somewhat over-acting which doesn't help. The treasure hunt is not hard enough which makes uncle Trent look bad. This could have been an edgier Goonies but Andy's anger really left me cold.

I loved it. It gives you everything you want in an adventure film, plus good surprises. The main character is agonizingly true to life in behavior and thinking. The other characters are also so realistic that, for the first half of the film, it is tantalizingly hard to tell who is the villain. Minor characters add poignant touches. There are shades of "Blair Witch" in the camera work, which lends to the suspense and realism, and there are also beautiful scenic shots of nature. Since this movie won "Best Family Film" at the Bentonville Film Festival, you can confidently sit down in front of it with the kids. Yet the movie is scary and unpredictable. The exciting conclusion transcends the ordinary. Three cheers, five stars!
"Lost & Found" is an Adventure - Family movie in which we follow two brothers trying to find a treasure on a remote island where they are spending their summer. With this treasure they aim to restore their family's lost fortune.
Since I didn't have any expectations from this movie I wasn't disappointed by it. The plot was predictable, something that made the movie boring and in many moments I was just trying to find a reason to continue watching it. The interpretations of both Justin Kelly's who played as Andy Walton and Benjamin Stockham's who played as Mark Walton were below average but they couldn't do anything more. To sum up, I have to say that "Lost & Found" isn't a movie for everyone and I advise you to read the storyline of the movie and watch its trailer before deciding whether you will watch it or not .

Remember the Goonies? How a greedy land developer was going to alter their hometown and how the kids find a fabled treasure and a history to save it? A similar story here, but with a very unique Grandfather who was a code breaker during World War 2. This Grandfather "Walton" owns a whole Island, but he disappears mysteriously and his wealth or "treasure" has been hidden somewhere on the island. A couple brothers, who are the grandkids of this man Walton, Andy Walton (Justin Kelly) and Mark Walton (Benjamin Stockham) are sent to the Island as a forced vacation from issues at home to "take a break" with their Uncle Trent Walton (Jason Patric). A fun adventure and a very interesting hunt for the entire family, well thought out riddles and plot/story, some very mild violence, nothing questionable, no nudity. A good clean fun adventure for everyone. The story keeps you interested and moves along quickly enough to not loose interest. Don't believe the bad reviews. A fun ride! Enjoy!
Yes, this movie is more for the teen or kid audience. I believe though that it is a breath of fresh air that doesn't deserve such low scores. I'm constantly finding myself looking for movies like this. Great acting, good mysteries, and finding yourself along the way. Movies don't have to be big budget to be great. Worth the watch. It stars Jason Patric from the Lost Boys fame..Casey Elwes, who usually plays doctors in movies but does a great job being the villain. Others I wasn't really familiar with, but they all did a great job. Please don't let the low scores scare you away. I would definitely recommend this movie. I give it a 10 out of 10. These actors deserve credit for a great film.

- GaffesAndy claims he could win the 200m freestyle by not breathing at all, but he loses by a stroke. Even Olympic-level athletes breathe at least every four strokes. If Andy was in good enough shape to race 200 meters fast without breathing, he should be able to break records with proper breathing.
