Avis à la une
When Hyperion employee Rhys, gets demoted by Hugo Vasquez, who becomes the new senior vice president by jettisoning the old one, Henderson, who promised the guy the promotion, he and his friend Vaughn overhears him making a deal to buy a Vault Key, and decides to go to Pandora to get it before he can. However, this would lead to a chain of events where Rhys teams up with Fiona, a pickpocket who made the key to scam Hyperion, resulting in an adventure where the two and their allies look for vault while on the run from Hugo.
Like almost any other game from Telltale Games, this is a story-driven game with QTEs and click-and-play elements. Like its other series, The Walking Dead, some parts of the story will actually change to reflect the decisions you make (i.e. actions done to NPCs or any environment will cause different dialogue to be said to reflect those actions). The game has five episodes, and during those episodes, you control Rhys at some parts of the episode (called chapters), while others, you control Fiona.
Each episode has a character who appears in the Borderlands game making an appearance (the first episode has Zer0, one of the playable characters from the second game, appear to help Rhys and Fiona, and Athena, an NPC from the first two games, who is playable in The Pre-Sequel, appears in the third episode), and the voice acting and graphics are amazing. This is one game I would highly recommend for those who like the Borderland series.

Never seen a better action game that is interactive with such an art style, great story, characters and dialog, it was a fun funny action/drama video game with badass moments and soundtrack.
For years, the art style kept me from the borderlands game series. However, that didn't stop me from downloading a free episode of Tales From the Borderlands(come on, it was free). I don't think I had played ten minutes before I knew I'd be purchasing the full game, and when I recognized the iconic voice acting of Putty (aka Patrick Warburton) from Seinfeld, there was no turning back. I had to play this game, and I had to play it now. Absolutely the best video game script, and delivery of said script, that I have ever come across. If I could pre-order the sequel now, I would(and I have never pre-ordered a game before). But I can't/couldn't, so in stead, I bought all the other borderlands games.... Because Tales of the Borderlands is a beautiful masterpiece.
Easy 10 out of 10.
Easy 10 out of 10.
A by the numbers Telltale game dealing with one of my favorite video game franchises. I really enjoyed it! Wish they'd done more.
So, I've never played Borderlands before. I saw the game for free on the Xbox Live store, knew that a load of my friends loved the game, and thought why the hell not?.
Safe to say, I loved this game. It only took me about an hour and a half to play the first episode through (and hey, I only died once, which I think is pretty damn good). This game is addicting, and thoroughly enjoyable.
Honestly, I'm amazed at the quality of the game; now then, I have seen game play of Borderlands and I was stunned that Telltale managed to have the quality at the same standard as their other games – but still in the same unique Borderlands style.
The game itself is easy enough to understand, and the two characters you play as (Fiona and Rhys) are fun to play as – and often, Fiona's sassy remarks left me in stitches. I had to pause the game at one point to go wipe my face of tears.
The first episode of the game is, currently, free on the Xbox Live store and I really suggest you go and download it. The game is a wonderful one, and it even tugged on my heartstrings at one point (and my friends call me heartless due to the content I write!)
It's well written, funny, and the story is thoroughly enjoyable. A solid 10/10 for this game, I didn't even notice the lag – there is one part I noticed where Vaughn is talking, but his lips don't move, and I think that happens a few times, but really, you don't notice that much.
For achievement hunters – this is an easy one. An hour and a half play through gets you 200G (20G; 30G; 20G; 20G; 30G; 30G; 50G) over 7 achievements – just playing the game achieves you all seven.
I can't wait for my next pay check so I can grab the season pass and play through it all. What are you waiting for? Go and try it.

- AnecdotesA lot of weapons and gear that are found in the game are references to previous games unique weapons. The Stranger that captures Rhys and Fiona at the start of the game is wielding the Conference Call, a legendary shotgun from Borderlands 2 (2012). The O2 Kits that Scooter and Fiona use were introduced in Borderlands the pre-sequel! (2014). The strangest one of all is the Skullmasher sniper rifle used by multiple bandits in the game even though it is a legendary (very very hard to obtain) weapon in Borderlands 2.
- GaffesIn Atlas Mugged Episode in the intro when Fiona lets go of Rhys, her hat falls off her head and into the desert and is clearly pointed out, but in the next scene with Fiona and Sasha her hat is back on her head again.
- ConnexionsEdited into Borderlands Collection: Pandora's Box (2023)
