So here we have Alicia a very modern woman who basically does nothing more advanced or less advanced than what Hippie women were doing in the late 60s on early 70s.
Now here in straight society in normal society the social construct articulated around male female relationships and even male, male or female female relationships are discussed in a very frank manner and quite frankly at the end of the day society has moved on in a positive way
All that Alicia has done is basically fall in love with two men married both of them and got on with a highly successful career so successful that the man she works for although she has time and time again rejected his professional requests insulted him refused to get into his political scams she still is in high demand
Some people mention the fact that the main character is not likeable I think probably this is mostly what Freudians call projection they do not like what she does maybe
What she does here is really quite revolutionary but for the last 10 20 years there has been much talk of polyamory and that is exactly what this is talking about.
For all the people who think this series is not intelligent or discussing matters which matter well I would say look again look at yourselves and society too and see what makes sense.

It started promising and interesting. I didn't have the highest expectations but I usually enjoy a cohesively written soapy series. Unfortunately after a few episodes it began to fall apart. It started to feel like rushed weekly TV, as if the writers were making it up as they went along. They introduced a bunch of characters that didn't add anything interesting, just to create some unnecessary plot twists and misunderstandings. By episode 6 I was begging for the truth to finally come out, so we could all be put out of our misery. Still, I watched it to the end, which unfortunately felt cringey and kind of sad actually.
As I often say, when a screenwriter has no ideas and no inspiration, he always takes refuge in a sentimental triangle, in this TV series they try to make the sentimental triangle slightly more interesting with the fact that the woman even marries the two men as written in the plot but that's not enough, the series is not at all interesting and tries to open a dialogue where there is nothing to discuss, the woman's final speech is ridiculous to say the least and reflects this TV series in every way, moreover after 19 episodes I would have expected a speech truly profound and meaningful! Instead the woman in a minute only says useless things that mean nothing!
I only gave "Just Alice" a try because a friend insisted, and I regret every single minute I spent on it. This is a comprehensive disaster.
Every element of this production is uniformly and surprisingly bad: the plot is a drag, the writing is wooden, the characters are flat, the acting is poor, and the direction is amateurish.
I was dragged into it and physically could not make it to the end of the first episode. Save yourself the time and the headache. Just skip it.

I really loved the characters in Simplemente Alicia. Each one feels authentic, with real emotions and contradictions. Verónica Orozco shines as Alicia, and Constanza Camelo brings honesty and warmth to her performance - she makes every scene feel alive. The chemistry among the cast is strong, giving depth and truth to the story. One of the best Colombian series of the year.
