Avis à la une
The Lives We Lead is a great example of a film that doesn't make out love and relationships are this fairy tale thing to navigate. The story feels raw and real, and the situations and obstacle the four main characters endure are things I am sure most people can relate to.
The supporting characters add to the overall story without bloating it out and the time jumps are handled quite well.
Another thing to note is even though it's an Australian film, it doesn't try to be patriotic or throw it in your face like some Aussie films do. It's an everyday tale type of thing, not a political or cultural agenda type film.
The directing and editing is fantastic and the music suits the tone of the film perfectly.

I enjoyed this movie, its quite easy to get lost in the depth of emotions each character goes through. The Lives We Lead covers a breadth of life's challenges and it flows naturally from each moment to the next without feeling clichéd or overly done. Some of the themes are quite heavy however I found that the uplifting soundtrack is quite reassuring of better times ahead. I liked how the characters cover many aspects of life and I could relate to each character in many of their decisions. My favourite characters were Edith and Kerrod because they played there roles very well and I found myself more attuned to their stories. Overall The Lives We Lead is a great movie and I highly recommend you buy a copy and watch it.
