Tis series got me hooked sm😭 im scared of the ending even tho ik its not a happy ending but still..... I don't usually watch kdramas and stuff but I like this one bcuz it isn't really cringe and cliche.. it focuses on realism, and I like how it has a movie inside a movie and history repeats itself, like that's so coooooll. The only thing that I don't like tho is that it's only 12 episodes LIKE WHATTT you get me all fired up with this series then give me JUST 12 EPS????? Can't get over the fact that not many people are watching it😢😢 you guys should watch it!!! Its gonna be worth your timee!!!!!!
Min Nam-koong would I willingly, if not intrepidly, spend 12 hours watching someone with a terminal illness who is not a friend or family member.
I truly HATE movies with sad endings but at least I know the score going in and will not complain later that I wasn't warned.
Having upgraded my original rating from 8 to 9 stars as there are several redeeming qualities that included an exceptionally well-developed script which was able to flesh out even minor characters with little screen time.
Unfortunately, the female lead, Jeon Yeo-been was woefully miscast. She may be good in dramas (like Vincenzo) that require a certain kind of tough veneer, but was not convincing in this as a vulnerable young woman in her mid-20s. Her age and obvious experience often flickered to the surface and was jarring.

I don't follow the male/female leads that much but I enjoy a good KDrama. When I was watching the 1st episode I noticed the male lead looked familiar and Yes he starred in My Dearest. In my opinion is one of the best in years. Although you will see the same gestures or acting from him but the character suits him perfectly. I love the pacing (slow yet you can listen to them talk - I recommend My Liberation Notes). The lines are no nonsense. Fun, witty, and with flavours. The camera work is peak too. The ending part absolutely blew me away and I finally gave in to the tears. You will have an idea of ending (that's the whole plot of the movie) but you won't guess the "how" it will end. Which in my opinion is how this wonderful piece excells. The acting on all their casts are on point. They behave just how they should be and no going off their characters for no reason (as most series do). You will be in for waves of emotion. A ceritified tearjerker. Don't sleep on this.
Our Movie is a well-produced drama that excells in emotional impact. Its exceptionally sad, but it achieves that beautifully with its cinematography and complex character development.
It's still very much a "K-drama", but it takes itself seriously enough to make a meaningful impact on the viewer given the nature of its story. The leads are excellent in this series, but so are the supporting characters. It seems everyone has some amount of character development - something you don't always see.
If I had to pick one thing that could be improved, its probably the soundtrack. At times I feel it leans too heavily on string instrumentation to evoke emotions when simple piano or silence would have a stronger effect, especially given the talented performance of the actors.

That rare case when, instead of the usual review: "It's too long, it would be nice to reduce 16 episodes to 12", there is a regret: "It's a shame that there are so few episodes, I watched and would have watched further." The drama is addictive, despite the fact that the shown love story is emotionally saturated with philosophical overtones on the difficult topics of the meaning of life and the acceptance of death. The brilliant play of the entire acting ensemble is impressive. In addition to Nam Gun Min and Jung Ye Bin, who know their business well, I remember the work of the actors who created bright secondary characters: the general director, the investor and cameraman of the film, the head of the acting agency and the father of the main character. From time to time, an obsessive association of the image of the character of the actor Nam Gun Ming with the image of the character of the actor Bae Yong Jun from the recently watched "Winter Sonata" involuntarily arose.
